It’s been forever since I posted on here. But, I guess I better start the year off right, so here’s a story about my snowboarding trip in January.
Let me preface this story with what happened the first time I went snowboarding. Long story short, I broke my nose the day after I had my wisdom teeth (all 4) removed. I also fractured my arm. Keep in mind, I had been doing well the entire day, it’s just at the end of the day I happened to hook my board on a nasty patch of ice and I went down face first. I snowboarded down the hill, leaving a ginormous trail of blood, cleaned myself up, and continued to snowboard as if nothing happened.
So, now that you know that, here’s the story of my second time snowboarding ever. I struggled for the first hour or so, I was pretty much relearning everything. I picked it up and really got the hang of it later in the day.
At the chair lift, we paired up to ascend the hill. I was just lucky enough to pair up with the really cute girl that Adrian had just rode up with. Great, I’ve got a wonderful knack for screwing this stuff up. We chatted as the chairlift climbed the hill, and towards the top, I mentioned that this is the part I hate, getting off. Little did I know, but Paul ahd just said, “I hope he falls and totally takes her out.”
Well, you guessed. A colossal wipeout. I saw the chair go right over my head as we both hit the ground, her screaming, and me cursing quietly to myself.
Worse, she kept going down the same hill as me after the incident!
